Bigler Associates, Inc. Receives Industrial Treatment Award

BAI was recently presented with the 2009 “Ernest Ecker Excellence in Industrial Wastewater Treatment Award” by the New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA) during their annual conference in Atlantic City, NJ.  The award is presented to a New Jersey company that has achieved outstanding performance in some aspect of industrial wastewater treatment.

Ken Frazier with NJWEA AwardKen Frazier (pictured) was presented with the award as BAI’s N-4 licensed operator and project manager for groundwater recovery & treatment system located at the Nascolite Superfund Site.  BAI has provided comprehensive O&M service for the facility since 2000, and has achieved 100% compliance with the discharge permit since then.   The perfect compliance and safety records, combined with the operational efficiency and maintenance programs in place at the facility exceeded the necessary criteria for receiving the award.

In addition to operations & maintenance, BAI also provides the following additional services for this project:

  • Quarterly groundwater sampling (low flow & conventional method);
  • Maintenance for repairing or replacing malfunctioning equipment (licensed electricians, mechanics, etc.);
  • Programming and support for the software used to automate the treatment system;
  • Process consultation for optimizing the treatment system (minimizing chemical addition, elimination of lime for sludge thickening, energy conservation, etc.).

If we can provide similar services for your treatment system project, please contact us.   We would be happy to provide you with a proposal for our award winning technical services.

Our People Most of our competitors use sub-contractors for repair and service work.  We have a staff of highly trained mechanics and electricians that are experts in troubleshooting and repairing treatment system equipment.  If a vital piece of equipment goes down today, we can have an electrician on site immediately, not when a sub-contractor is available.
